FIDE extends deadline for the Dubai organiser of the
Kasimdzhanov-Kasparov match until 5 December 2004
The World Chess Federation (FIDE)
announces a new deadline of 5 December for the final response from the candidate
Dubai organiser of the World Chess Championship match Kasimdzhanov-Kasparov,
scheduled for January 2005 in Dubai. The extension is granted following the
request of the organiser from Dubai, who failed to supply FIDE with the required
financial guarantees within the deadline of 1 December 2004 set by the FIDE
President.

The representatives of the Dubai candidate are arriving at Moscow to hold
a final round of the negotiations with the FIDE President on 4 December 2004,
who shall announce the final decision on 5 December 2004 in respect of this
