15-year-old girl captain of men's team
21.02.2003 Koneru Humpy,
Indian chess prodigy,
has been nominated as captain of India's second men's team at the Asian team
championship, to be held at Jodhpur from April 7 to 17. At 2496 Humpy is the
highest-rated player in the team and the chess federation decided to recognise
merit and give a boost to the young lady's self-confidence. Read about it in
