GAME* in the SPOTLIGHT: (November 2005)
Geodesic Chess (by L. Lynn Smith)
This game belongs at the complex end of L. Lynn Smith' portfolio of Zillions implementations,
which crossed the one-hundred mark recently. So we grab this young game as an opportunity to put (him) in the spotlight.
More than half of his work comprises of games on the checkmate theme, with classic, fantasy and newly invented chess variants,
from the simple looking 1-dimensional Shogi to
the more daunting Trans-Dimensional Chess. But he
doesn't stop there and has submitted interesting contributions to almost every other category too.
His artwork is deliberately clear cut and always functional, so even the spatially confusing Geodesic Chess looks
like you could give it a try. By all means, do.
