MacICC uses 2d (or pseudo-3d that is better) pieces.
The size should be around 100x100 - 150x150 pixels but all images of a set have to
be of the same square size. They will be scaled to suit user's preferable size of window.
There are three images for every piece in set - "white", "black" and mask.
Mask should be 1 bit depth it will be used for drag & drop, drawing etc
(So, background of images doesn't matter).
There are some samples.
When set is ready
You have two options here. First option is you can
contact us
and we can handle
the rest as long as you submit images in a general graphic format like PICT, JPEG, GIF etc.
Another option is you can finish this job yourself.
There is the instruction:
Create copy of an existing file from your "Pieces" folder.
Correct the 'Conf' resource (id 128). All sizes are relative to one piece.
There are two numbers to specify each square. For current version both of
them have to be the same.
I hope, the meaning of all fields are intuitive, but nevertheless:
Min.Size means min.square occupied by one piece.
Set to 0,0 if no restriction.
Max.Size means max.square occupied by one piece.
Set to 0,0 if no restriction.
Std.Size means standard square occupied by one piece.
Usually this is original size of a picture.
White PICT id resource id of first white piece to start with.
The subsequency for white, black and mask images as following:
pawn, rook, knight, bishop, queen, king.
Black PICT id resource id of first black piece to start with.
Mask PICT id resource id of first mask to start with.
There is the sample of one Chess Piece. Background for pieces doesn't matter
because mask will be used. Note, images might be scaled to suit user's preferable
size.
