Jobs to Deliver Macworld Expo 2006 Keynote
by , 9:10 AM EST, December 1st, 2005
IDG World Expo announced on Thursday that Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer, will deliver the opening keynote address at Macworld Expo 2006. The keynote event is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
Mr. Jobs has presented the keynote address at Macworld Expo for the past several years, which typically includes announcements about new products, and ends with a "one more thing" surprise product introduction.
Macworld Expo is scheduled to run from January 9, through January 13, 2006 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Additional information about Macworld Expo is available at the expo Web site.

Can't you just tell them you have to make a "religious pilgrimage"? <g>
If I booked a non-refundable cruise to San Francisco I could postpone jury duty. What really burns me is that I was jury duty last month in County Court., that excuses me from jury duty for 3 years. However, this new summons is in Federal District Court and the state policy on jury duty does not apply. Well at least they pay more.
This could be a real interesting MacWorld. Rumors of the Intel based PowerBook and maybe, if we are lucky, an iPod with a built in FM tuner (sarcasm)

Do we get a live feed?
They stopped the live feeds last year or the year before. Now it’s delayed a couple hours or so. The live feed cost was fairly high, i guess.

I was planning on attending until I got a jury summons.
You should be able to get a postponement of your jury duty; just tell you’ll be out-of-town. No need to explain further.
