At the Principals Rules Meetings held during November, 2005, IHSA staff members led a discussion of proposed 3- and 4-class models for certain sports.  The models were developed by the staff at the direction of the IHSA Board of Directors.  In December, member schools will be asked to respond to a non-binding survey regarding classification, grouping and seeding, and the 3- and 4-class models.  The Board of Directors will then use this input to determine whether to add additional classes in certain sports, and if so, whether to use the proposed models.
