The year 2003 marks the bi-centennial of the adventurous journeys of Lewis and Clark after the United States bought Louisiana from France. This book is available from the Honor Publishing Bookstore website & is great for Scouters.

Perry Bear's On the Trail of L & C
Lewis and Clark’s journey began on May 14, 1804. Three boats and nearly 40 men set out from a place near St. Louis, Missouri. Eighteen months later, the expedition would reach the goal: the Pacific Ocean.

MO - Missouri Lewis & Clark Bicentennial
The purpose of the website is to provide information about the upcoming Lewis and Clark Bicentennial celebrations in the state of Missouri where the expedition began.
MO - The Lewis & Clark Center
The Lewis & Clark Center is dedicated to the adventures and accomplishments of the famous Lewis & Clark Expedition. This certified site on the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is located in Historic St. Charles Missouri.
MT - Cut Bank Area & Camp Dissapointment
This is the northernmost camp established by the expedition. On July 17, 1806, Lewis and three members of the expedition (George Drewyer, Joseph Fields, and Reuben Fields) split from the main group to look for a water passage to the Pacific.
MT - L&C; Nat'l Trail Interpretive Center

Souix Council Scout Camp - In 1804, the Lewis and Clark expedition made their way westward up the Missouri River of which L&C; Lake is a part. They also camped nearby. Ordway, Prior, Gass, Shannon, York & Floyd campsites are named for expedition members.
