Bobcat Rank for Cub Scouts Requirements for the Cub Scout Bobcat rank. All Cub Scouts must earn this award before earning any other. It is the first thing Wolf Scouts in the 2nd Grade complete but new cub scouts in other grades 3-5 should also start with this award.
