Hello! This web site is devoted to preserving the Scouting history of West Texas.  There are some 299 pages of history and hundreds of photos that go back as far as 1910, the year Scouting was chartered by Congress.

The first troops in this part of the United States of America chartered directly with the National Council, BSA, as local councils were not organized in this area until the 1920's.  This web site records the history of many of these earlier units.

Are you interested in how Scouting got started in your own part of the country?   This web site provides some research hints to help you in your search of that history.  It is not hard to do and the results are gratifying.  Just click HERE to go to the web page.
