Description:
Battery Log will monitor the batteries in your handheld and give you an estimated date for their replacement, based on actual usage of your handheld.
Features:
- Collects and displays useful statistics for each set of batteries, like voltage and percentage of power remaining, the total time since you last installed a set (or started monitoring with Battery Log, whichever is later), the total time the handheld has been in use, the total time the backlight has been in use and the total time the handheld has been sleeping.
- Auto detects a change in batteries. You only have to have the monitoring component running and Battery Log will automatically detect when batteries are changed.
- Maintains a history of all batteries that have been monitored, so you can quickly see how different batteries have performed.
- User defined notes (up to 80 characters) for each battery set.

- All previous users of BatteryLog having handhelds with Palm OS v3.5 or greater are strongly urged to upgrade to version 1.07.

Quite useful program at first sight, but ... It logs batteries perfectly, but when the program is installed (the hack needn't be active), it hogs the little palm's CPU, so everything becomes slightly slower and you have to wait for everything longer time. OK, I tolerate this, but the backlight started to flash quite visibly and after an hour of reading my eyes were strained like never ... Looks like this program sucks batteries quite a bit too (it's still active and counts the time). Anybody got the same experience?

Great little Hack. Does everything the developer says it will. I've looked at many battery monitoring programs and Hacks and this is one of the better ones. To me, the only down side is not being able to adjust for rechargable batteries. But, that isn't uncommon in most battery monitors. If you are as obsessive about the condition of your batteries as I am, give this a try!
