HalfordsAlloy Wheel Repair KitBought this repair kit after kerbing my new alloys. I was seriously gutted as it was quite a bit of damage done. I thought I`d save sme money and give it a go myself with this. Instructions are very easy to follow and the kit included is good quality. Basically you clean the wheels, fill the damged area with flexible superglue, spray on the activator then sand it down to sit flush with the wheel. You then have to spray with the silver paint. This is the only negative point as the silver did not match my wheel. I got over it by blending it in lightly. Job done. If you`re after a decent repair kit with decent results - buy this. Otherwise get a mobile wheel repair specialist out to sort it at double the price.

UnbrandedBlack Leather Steering Wheel CoverI recently bought this item to cover my steering wheel, because it had developed a crack. Thinking that it was quite pricey at just under £10, I thought that it should be good. How wrong I was...

Firstly, the `instructions` on the back belittle the amount of effort required to put the cover on the steering wheel. I first had to pre-drill the holes again, with the supplied needle, because they were not fully cut through the leather. Next, putting the cover on is actually very difficult, because you actually need to sit in the car and sew it on. Thirdly, there wasn`t enough string supplied, so I had to go and find some more (normal cotton wasn`t strong enough). Then, the needle broke going through the leather, so I had to go find another one...

I think the back of the box should be re-written to say:

Also required: another needle, some more thread, a torch (for when you have to spend the whole night doing it), a thermos of coffee, a commode, and the patience of Job. Warning: any physical disability (ie short sightedness) will hinder your completion of this task. Also, being a professional contortionist will help when you have to try and look behind the steering wheel for the next hole...

I spent the better part of £10 and two days fitting this steering wheel cover, but on the upside the efffect is actually rather good, unless your steering wheel is slightly smaller than 15.5` diameter, in which case you`ll have to cut along one of the seams and make even more of a meal out of it. It might`ve been easier to buy a new steering wheel!
