Blitzen sings the office blues

November 30, 2005 10:30 AM PST

Feel like decking the boss with boughs of holly? In your dreams.

But USA Today's Kevin Maney knows how you feel. Inspired by the holiday season, Maney has composed a workplace ditty speaking to the disgruntled worker bees in our midst.

Says Maney: "I got to thinking: Santa's eight reindeer--or nine, with Rudolph--are always glossed over as a tight, selfless, dedicated team. But that's never how it works in the office. Somebody's always whining. Somebody's the prima donna. So I wrote a song from the viewpoint of Blitzen, the curmudgeon who complains about all the other reindeer, not to mention the boss."

Listen to Maney's toe-tapping tune about a reindeer with attitude, "The Reindeer Song" (Can't Wait for Morning).
