Google Earth beta for Mac OS X leaked

by , 7:00 PM EST, December 9th, 2005

An unofficial beta of Google Earth for Mac OS X has been leaked and was made available through Mac software tracking Web site MacUpdate late Friday.

Google released its popular Google Earth product for Windows in June and promised Mac users at the time that a native version would be available in the future. The official Google Earth download page says work on the Mac OS X version is continuing.

The build of Google Earth available for download is dated December 1, 2005 and is numbered 3.1.0371.0 (beta). At press time, Google had yet to respond to inquiries from The Mac Observer regarding the beta.
