SONYDAVD150GThis is the best system i have had the pleasure to set up. The only problem is the lack of control over the bass (no seperate volume controller)

Slightly complicated to use functions such as record. But its still a highly recomendable system. Especially as there is so much in one unit!

9/10

GOODMANSGHC304DVDRI`ve owned my GHC304DVDR now for two weeks and I am loving it! It is easy to set up and use. For me, this system has replaced the DVD player, the VCR and the stereo system. It even comes with an in built FM/AM tuner. Why clutter your HiFi unit with lots of different equipment when you can have it all in one nifty slimline box? This is an excellent product and the low price is an added bonus.

PHILIPSLX8300SAPlays everything that iv put into it, DVD, MP3 on DVD, VCD, Divx movies the lot. I bought for £120 and definetly worth every penny, VCD and Divx picture quality is much better than on my PC. Goes plenty load enough for my medium to large living room that its set up in. Set up was a peice of cake!Extremely long wires for all speakers!

Music also sounds really good through it, especially acoustic guitar!

Would definatly reccomend for the price i paid

PHILIPSLX3600DThough I"m not hugely experienced in high end home cinema systems, I have had some experience with a variety of low-mid range systems and this one is great for the money. It looks sleek and tidy when set up, comes with a scart and everything easily labelled, and easy to understand. The presets are varied and offer good sound quality and you can really get a belting sound out of it. I would recommend heartily. The picture quality is great, though my own television does not do it justice, it also plays all the formats you"ll need and it operates smoothly and doesn"t look cheap. The remote also is sturdy, attractive andeasy to use with the lights off:-) Very much recommended.

PANASONICSCHT900I bought this system about 1 year ago am extremely plesaed with it. Obviously those with high experience of Home Cinema sound with seperate amps etc will pick fault in the audio performance of the system in comparison to seperates, however I have had many reasonable audio Home Cinema amps over the years and for the money the performance of this system is more than satisfactory for a small to medium sized room. Not only that, the system looks fantastic with the slim speakers very easy on the eye and not being too intrusive on the decor of the room! The system plays almost every type of format you could wish for (CD-R, MP3, MPEG etc etc), and I would have no hesitation in recommending this system for those wanting more than adequate audio and visual performance from an all in one Home Cinema system.

PIONEERNSDV99I bought this a couple of years ago for nearly £700. It just shows you how prices have changed! I was delighted with it then and I still am. The sound is great from such small speakers. The subwoofer provides plenty of deep bass (too much for the neighbours). I have the TV, digital sat., VCR, cassette deck, remote wireless speakers and a vinyl record deck(through a pre-amp) linked up to it. So connectivity is excellent. It looks good too.

PIONEERVSX-C550 & DV-550 Multiregion with SV-50 - Mirrored SilverBought this DVD/reciever/speaker package recently. Took a minimum of time to set up. Been testing it thorougly, and I just can't find any downside to it.

Just one thing: in the beginning, I had the DVD on top of the reciever, but the DVD switched off as it overheated. I separated the two now. :-)

It plays DVD, CD, CD-RW, SVCD, and... JPEG! So no need to SVCD albums of your pictures on PC.

It also has an AM/FM radio and plenty of outlets/inlets to branch anything U want. I threw out my old and space-consuming stereo (incl. 2 top-notch B&W; speakers), and I don't regret doing it.

Last night, I scared my parents in law by playing... Ice Age! The pounding feet of Manfred the Mammoth made the whole room shake. so they were constantly looking at their glasses, and the vases, and the paintings on the wall... I guess they thought it would all come tumbling down (snigger)...

I have read some professional reviews which say that the sound is not so good, but I think the reviewers are used to listening to much more expensive equipment because I personally think it sounds excellent. My only observation is that it gets extremely hot so needs plently of ventilation.

You really cannot go wrong with this for the price.

PANASONICSC-DT100Overall I have been extremely happy with my product.

The power is quite astounding considering the overall size of the system, it really is loud enough for any room! The DVD is top quality, the best I have seen yet compared to other high quality brands. The base, although not an active subwoofer, has 4 different levels which can be altered during DVD playback and it is extremely powerful (level four will destroy the average house no problem)

A product that is both extremely stylish and has the specs to blow you away. Highly recommended

I have found that Subs are where I have been let down on quality, but this ROCKS!!!! Quality of all the components are fantastic. Any sound you want to achieve through this system is not a problem. The 'LFE-ATT' is great for when you want it quiet but still HUMMING, and just bang it up loud till your ears bleed - it can take as much as 'you' can handle!!!

PANASONICSCHT520Very capable, compact and easy on the eye. It won`t blow your windows out with sheer power but it`s amazing value for money. If you want a `serious` piece of home cinema kit, spend some real money and go the component route but if you don`t want your lounge full of boxes and huge speakers, this`ll be just what you`ve been looking for. If I were to be hyper critical, mine has a slightly noisy deck motor but what do you want for this kind of money? Overall, a craking buy.

LGLHT6740I had the LG LHT6740 Home cinema system for a few weeks and I’m very impressed with the sound and the styling with good base and clear all round sound BUT the only downside is that the speakers come in to parts held together with a small plastic tab, which is not a bad thing unless you rowdy small children who nock one over and snap off the tab... After contacting LG the informed me that the speakers cannot be sold separately so unless I buy a complete new system I’m stuck with a broken speaker...!

PHILIPSLX3900The big advantage of this unit is that it reads all kinds of formats: dvd / dvdr(w) / vcd /MP3 including Divx and even some Xvid (not all of them though). I"m a huge divx/xvid fan and I can say that the playback is very smooth. No strange bugs or unstable image. Everything works fine. It even reads subtitles (.srt) on condition that it has the same name as the video file. The quality of the material is very good but that"s what we expect from philips. The sound quality is nice and colourful for a surround system in it"s price range. The installation is peace of cake and you really don"t need the manual to navigate through the options. The only disadvantage is that the unit cannot be upgraded (reflashed) so far as I know. This could result in the fact that playing some new divx/xvid in the near future could have display issues. Besides that, it"s an exellent system.

TeacPLD2200Great little set-up. Good with movies, especially DTS, but not so brilliant with music. Lacks bass and detail, but at this price who cares.

SAMSUNGHTDB120After owning an all in one Pro Logic TV this was my first dedicated home cinema kit. As a first buy it seems of good quality with sufficient power. Great picture delivered in RGB and can be hacked as multi region. Would possibly benefit from a larger centre speaker for dialogue. One word of advice, check your existing cabinet space before purchase, this isn't the smallest of systems.

Ministry of SoundMOSDV014It is a powerful system. Your music CDs and DVDs like theatre. However, I wish to know how to connect a video player to this product, and have tried but the user guide doesn't explain how to get it working together.
