You know, if I were stuck on an island with a PC and only one game to play, it would definitely have to be a Civ game. I can't think of any other game that has stolen more of my time or had as much replayability.

Anyone else have a PC game they'd rather be stuck with on an island (and no, MMO's don't count, the island doesn't have internet--but for some reason it does have a PC and a renewable source of energy (it could also be that I watch "Lost" too much))?

Sorry, min specs require you to have a 64MB DX 7 capable card.

The GF2 was DX7 capable (DX8 capable actually).

Although that still doesn't mean that it'll run well on that card.

" I really hope I can play this game on my 1Ghz laptop with a crappo GMA900 Intel integrated chipset. It has two pixel pipelines and I think its equivalent to a Geforce 2, but it lacks any vertex or pixel shaders. Hopefully civ4 doesn't employ those whatever they are."

Not sure how that lappy will do, DanL.

Can't wait. I have loved each version so far(I do agree Civ II has been the best so far). While Civ III in the end was better with patches and expansions, Civ II was just such a huge jump over Civ I. Civ III was really just Civ II 1/2.

Civ IV looks to be as big of a jump over Civ III as Civ II was over Civ I.

And thank god those f'ing settlers will now respect my territory!!!!
