by , 12:00 AM EST, December 23rd, 2005

Miraizon has released version 2.05 of its DVD movie clip extractor, Cinematize. The update enables users to extract clips in formats suitable for viewing on a video iPod, a Sony PSP or a Web site. In addition, the upgrade offers better compression color control, improved DV stream export, bug fixes and more.

Cinematize 2.05 is free for existing users. The full software sells for US$69.95 in a boxed version or $59.95 as a download. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2, a G3 processor, 128MB RAM (256MB recommended), 2.5MB free hard drive space and QuickTime 6.4 (QuickTime 7.0.3 required for iPod-compatible output).
