6/14/2004: Comments from TD Franklin Campbell:
I made a good effort to reach the players in games without results
and have settled all the games I could. Therefore, am I closing out
this tournament. In the final unsettled 19 games I have declared 16
double forfeits and will determine the other three results shortly
(or declare them 0-0, also). This tournament is now closed. The double
forfeits are marked in red.
11/09/02: Comments from new TD
Franklin Campbell:
Former TD Maurice Carter is unable to continue as tournament
director. Therefore, I have been assigned as the replacement TD to bring
this tournament to an orderly completion. If you have completed games
that are not recorded in the crosstables, please send me a report and
the game score (I cannot accept a report without a game score). If you
have games still going, then please send me a report indicating the
status. I may call in open games soon to close out this event.
1/10/01: Comments from TD Maurice
Carter:
Preliminary sections are extended. We still have alot of games
open.
11/13/98: Comments from TD Maurice
Carter:
I only report the results to ICCF at the end of the year for
rating.
If you want USCF and/or CCLA to rate the game. Both players must be members
of the organization and one of the players must report the result to them.
10/21/98: Comments from TD Maurice
Carter:
Both players are required to send in a score sheet. Win lost or
draw! A few results the loser only sent in a score sheet, the winner failed to
report the result. While the rule states that at least one player must submit a
score sheet, if no score sheet is sent by either players, a double forfeit can
result. Please protect your interest and send in the score sheet.
9/16/98: Comments from TD Maurice Carter:
- Players are required to report address changes to the TD.
- After a game is completed, the game must be reported with a copy of the
moves to the TD, win, loss or draw. No game is official until this is
complied with. Both players are required to do this!
- Time out requests, vacations, etc. should be reported to the TD and all
opponents must be informed. This must be done before the time period starts.
- Players are required to note on their cards: both date received and sent,
postmark, and both their and the opponent's time taken and time total.
--------------------------------------------
7/01/98:
All participants have their assignments by now. Time of reflection is only
counted from the official starting date July 10, 1998. All days count (Sundays,
holidays, etc. are counted). Date of postmark is considered the official date
sent.
In addition to the clarifications provided with the assignment sheets I
asked for a coupleadditional clarifications. I received the following from TD
Maurice Carter:
- All games are rated by ICCF. At end of each year I have to report the
finished games as of 31 December to ICCF for rating.
- My position in regards to e-mail use is as follows. This is a normal ICCF
event. Use of postcards are the normal mode. This is not an e-mail event. The
time limit no matter what mode of sending moves is 10 moves in 30 days. If
players wish to use e-mail that is up to them, but the time limit is still 10
moves in 30 days. If problems in regards to time claims etc come up, all
rulings will be based upon the data provided and the time limit of 10 moves in
30 days.
From time to time I expect additional announcements or clarifications from
the Tournament Director.
