Connecting Primary Storage with a Digital Archive

DAX Job Folder Archive Software (JFA) is an intuitive archive management tool which facilitates the creation and organization of a centrally managed digital archive. JFA enables archival, retrieval and migration of entire drives or collections of files (Job Folders) between file servers and a central DVD Archive on your network. No more dedicating precious time to the search of that one file you need immediately. It simplifies the tasks of managing, sharing and accessing archived data and ensures significant efficiency improvements and cost savings in your day-to-day business activities.

JFA connects the users' primary storage with the digital archive by building a Disk-to-Disk-to-DVD archive. Disk-to-disk ensures the user fast and transparent archival storage as the most current data remains in the on-line cache archive. JFA includes a DAX file system (DAXfs) software license which is necessary to ensure the second stage of archiving the data to DVD. This safeguards longevity of the data long term on a widely accepted and standardized medium. DAXfs enables elementary HSM based archiving whereby the combination with JFA adds highly developed extra features such as metadata, snapshots, versioning etc…
