Employers add fewer-than-expected jobs in October

Employers added 215,000 jobs to payrolls in November, the Labor Department reported, up from a revised 44,000 in October. The unemployment rate held steady at 5%.

The state unemployment rates below are for November and were released on Dec. 16, 2005. Data for December will be released Jan. 24.
