Classic Games of Chinese Chess: #3
This game is reproduced from a collection published in Shanghai in 1958.
The annotations are based on those in Hsiang Ch’i: The Chinese Game of Chess by Terence Peter Donnelly (1974).
In the game as published, black moved first. The colors here have been reversed to accord with the modern practice.
A notable feature of the game is the fact that black wins despite being down a cannon for
the last half.
