Apple Snatches Up Cupertino Office Space

by , 1:10 PM EST, February 3rd, 2006

Apple recently signed a deal for an 116,830 square-foot office building in Cupertino, California, continuing its land-grabbing pattern from 2005. Apple is subleasing about half of the space in the 10400 block of Ridgeview Court from IBM, according to the CoStar Group, and the rest directly from the building landlord. There is no word on what Apple plans on using the space for.

Last year, Apple bought leases on office spaces through out the Cupertino area. Although the company is most likely using the space it acquired over the past few months, it's common to sign building deals in anticipation of future needs, locking in lower rates.

Isn't it great to be able to actually see how far this building is from Infinite Loop? I mean actually get a real idea of the distance by seeing cars, houses etc., rather than a map.
