Hiding Profile Data I don't know how much of even if this has been talked about before (you guys tend to think of things apparently before I get around to it). Occasionally get random spam on AIM from random people that followed from gamedev. About half is rand...

Journals New Since Last Visit I'd be nice to see an indication on the Developer Journals page which Journals have been updated since the last visit, (like the forums). Also, a smaller format so more journals could be packed into one page would be nice. Although I wo...

OBJ UV maps. Wings3D - MeshFromOBJ I'm working with OBJ files, and have been using Wings3D to create test models. Started working on an OBJ loader, and my first stop was the DX example loader MeshFromOBJ that's in the SDK. This is a repost from my journal since I doubt many p...

Model Data Formats, Starting Point? I'm looking into 3D model data formats, and was wondering if anyone have a good direction to point me in for things to check out. I'm looking for something that is somewhat standard (so exporting/importing for art resources isn't insane.) for mesh...

A couple of ideas for journals Heh, my notepad currently has an abundence of links and random information. :) I guess if we had Preview functionality inside the Journal, it'd be easy to swap it back and drop it in the notepad. Not exactly elegant though.

A couple of ideas for journals Mark me down as ditto for both Roboguy and Seriema's ideas. One of my own Save Drafts, to be published later It'd make it a hell of alot easier to work on longer tutorial style posts from multiple computers. :)

Gamix formed to promote an open gaming platform Quote:Original post by Wudan Doesn't this all sound and look a lot like 'The Phantom'? (Especially with it's snake-oil-salesman tactics for getting people interested.) No, the Phantom was a system that focused on a closed system, and that w...

Gamix formed to promote an open gaming platform Who's going to create a Gamix base for Windows/Mac OSX/Linux. Would open up all those media center PCs. While in theory this is a good idea, it will be hell to develop for, unless they have a obcenely reigerious testing process to verify that a G...

Going back to Dx7 with the dx9sdk Quote:Original post by Wicked Ewok Hi MustEatYemen, that sounds very discouraging. I'm trying to go back to DirectX7 or 8 because XP ships with Dx8, but not Dx9. I figured since I wasn't using anything special for my game I didn't have to use 9. ...
