Sony exec Ken Kutaragi discusses chip used in PS3
Ken Kutaragi, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment (Tokyo), has said that the CELL chip used in the PS3 is going to allow "the same level of quality as that of the latest movies". This is a similar claim Sony made in reference to ps2's "emotion engine".

EA anticipates growth in mobile gaming
Videogames industry powerhouse Electronic Arts has offered some insight into the potential revenue gains resulting from its acquisition of Jamdat, predicting a substantial growth in the wireless gaming market.

The move cements EA's commitment to the platform, and could potentially offer a significant boost to the global wireless gaming market. EA intends to release some fifty mobile games in the first year following the completion of the deal.

Nintendo President Iwata Returns to GDC

Lighthouse 3D GLSL Tutorial with OpenGL 2.0
Lighthouse 3D's GLSL tutorial now covers OpenGL 2.0 functions in addition to the ARB extensions. Both versions are now available in the tutorial, with syntax and source code color coded. While the ARB extension version provides backwards compatibility, the OpenGL 2.0 version is available more and more with the new driver releases and new hardware.
