The game will be released for PC, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS2
Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, the next installment in squad-based military shooter, was delayed to February 2006 - the game was previously scheduled for Holiday 2005. The game will focus on the deployment of the Soldier of the Future – the ‘warfighter,’ in military parlance, into the chaos of urban warfare. The main character is Captain Scott Mitchell, the commander of the Ghosts and Special Forces allies equipped with the IWS in the quest to save the president of the United States, recover stolen nuclear codes and eliminate a vicious band of renegade soldiers hell-bent on unleashing catastrophe. IWS (Integrated Warfighter System) is a complex combination of cutting-edge technologies that transforms an individual soldier into the ultimate fighting force. IWS combines advanced weapons systems, satellite communication devices and enhanced survivability into one fully integrated combat system. We have two new screenshots, one for the PC version, the second for the Xbox 360 version.
