Reef Entertainment today announced they have signed Shadowgrounds, the game developed by Frozenbyte and planned to be released in the UK, Turkey, Greece & Middle East in April. Set in the near future, the game pits the player against oncoming alien hordes who are invading a colony base. The storyline includes investigating alien origins, helping in rescue evacuation and setting up defense perimeters. The player gets help from many allies who play an essential part in the overall story. Weapons can be customized with multiple upgrades, maximizing the carnage, and the environment is destructibile, allowing players to wreak havoc in full scale. Nobilis released a new batch of screenshots from Armored Core: Nexus for the PlayStation 2. This version ships with two discs named Evolution and Revolution. The first one comes with new material like new missions and arena opponents, while the second one includes graphically overhauled missions from previous titles, as well as a wide selection of player-earned secrets (music, movies and artwork) associated with previous games in the series. Release is scheduled for April 14th.

Cenega today announced they have signed a deal with Altar Games for publishing UFO: Afterlight in Europe. With a MSRP of EUR39.99, the game will ship sometime during Q1 2007 and will feature resources management and terraforming possible in later stages of the game, a large number of new technologies, weapons and equipment, more complex diplomacy option affecting the story, as well as new enemies and new alien races with variable weapons and battle tactics.

Releasing these Xbox 360 screenshots, Electronic Arts today announced that 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany will be released this April, just in time for the June tournament. With enhanced player animations, Electronic Arts has emulated close to 100 of the world's superstars, capturing their playing styles and individual likenesses. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced Gangs of London for the PSP, a game developed by their own London Studio and inspired by the Getaway franchise. You can lead one of the five gangs available (Cockney, Triad, Yardie, Russian or Pakistani gang) and you will have to fight against other opposing gangs for domination over the city's underworld. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced the May release of Tourist Trophy for the PlayStation 2 in the UK. The game features more than 80 licensed motorcycles to race in various game modes amongst more than 35 international courses - licensed motorcycle manufacturers include BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Triumph.

Oxygen Games today released a trailer and the first screenshots from the PC version of World Championship Poker 2: Featuring Howard Lederer. The game will be released in the UK this April.

Releasing these screenshots, Matrix Games today announced they have signed an agreement with Koios Works for publishing Panzer Command: Operation Winter Storm, a turn-based strategy game, featuring a German and a Soviet campaign, and a PBEM (Play By E-Mail) system for head to head play. Panzer Command: Operation Winter Storm also feature historical stats and tactics, and a skirmish level which will allow you to mix and match forces from the campaign in a fictional battle set in the same time frame.

TLA Entertainment today announced a partnership with Republik Games to market and promote Spend the Night, a game where players find compatible matches via a built-in network of other Spend the Night users and then play cooperative virtual dates. There are no other details about the game, but we'll keep you posted.

Ubisoft today released a new fact sheet for America's Army: Rise of a Soldier, the game developed by Secret Level for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. They say that in order to provide the highest level of realism in any military game, real Special Operatives consult with the game designers, so weapons, equipment and combat situations come directly from those experienced with them in real life. The game is planned for a Q2 2006 release date.

Frogster Interactive has released a playable demo for Air Conflicts, allowing you to try out this flight combat arcade simulator for the PC in the works at 3Division Featuring 10 non-linear campaings with more than action 200 missions, 12 authentic planes (Spitfire, Mosquito, Avro Lancaster, He-111, Ju-87 Stuka, Bf-109, Gloster Meteor, Gotha 229, DB3, IL2, Lavochkin 5, Bisnovat 5), an advanced ranking system and three multiplayer modes for up to 8 players, the game will be published in EU countries by Frogster Interactive during Q2 2006 (no word on US availability).

CDV Software Entertainment has released a single-player demo for ÜberSoldier, giving you the chance to try out the WWII FPS developed by Burut CT and scheduled to hit the store shelves on March 31, 2006.
