Sanity: Aiken's Artifact (c) Fox Interactive

Sanity spawns a half decent plot based on a mysterious artifact named Aikens Artifact. Its based in the year 2028 where you play an agent for the DNPC who was injected with serum which unlocks part of the brain (psionic). Your character (Cain) has many Psionic powers such as fireball, starshower, lazerbeam etc which can be picked up as powerups. Although the game starts well the camera angles lets it down. The game being an action genre you cant help but think its RTS. Using a pointer as your control point sometimes can be frustrating and awkward, you can use the arrow keys but with the camera angles they can be just as awkward as the mouse pointer. Being developed by monolith it obviously uses the latest LithTech engine which offers some impressive lighting effects but don't expect anything spectacular. Also incorporating into the storyline is the immense puzzle to indulge yourself into. Sanity also uses a unique trading system which lets you swap and trade different aspects of your powers online, you can also download new abilities from monoliths website in the near future.
Graphics: 6/10 Using the LithTech engine for something other than FPS may of paid of in the end offering great lightning aspects and visual supremacy. But due to the fact that it looks like an RTS game graphics are often overlooked.

Sound: 5/10 The sounds were often mere whispers in the background apart from the odd gun fire, but overlooking that ICE-T made a good impression doing the voices of Agent Cain which brought the character to life.

Gameplay: 6/10 The fast paced action game which I hoped it would be is often let down buy those damn camera angles and brainteasing puzzles which are often in the right place at the wrong time. Once you get use to using the mouse pointer for control you seem to get more drawn to the game camera angles or not.

Overall: 7/10 I was quite impressed by this game but certain things let it down in many places but if you are a RTS fan looking to kick some ass then get this now. What did it for me was the combination of lightning effects and ICE-T which makes this game a good buy.
