An updated dedicated Linux server for Call of Duty 2 is now available for download. It is recommended that any user modifications that have been installed to the Call of Duty 2(tm) directory be removed before installing this package. These modifications are not supported by Activision(r) and may not be compatible with some of the new features that are included. When installing or upgrading a server, if problems or unexpected behavior arise, your first step in troubleshooting should be to do a clean install with the original data files.

We have a new Hitman: Blood Money trailer, showcasing the new sequel in the works at Io-Interactive and based on a new version of Glacier engine. Hitman: Blood Money offers customisable weapons, new gameplay techniques (including distraction, accidents, body disposal, human shield, decoy weapons), new control and camera system, new moves, improved AI, and many more. Due to Blood Money system, the cleaner the 'hit' the more money you receive which can be spent on reducing your notoriety, weapon customisation, specialist equipment and information. Hitman: Blood Money will be released across PAL territories on 26th May 2006 and in North America on May 30, for Xbox 360, PC, PS2 and Xbox.

Midway has released a single-player demo of Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War where you play as the Egyptians against the Romans. The game lets players completely command one of the four mightiest empires of the ancient world: Greece, Rome, Egypt, and Persia. The game’s development is now being led internally out of the Midway San Diego studio, with a group that includes game industry veterans from the teams that developed Heroes of Might and Magic and Lords of Everquest.

A small announcement on the Guild Wars website states that you will be able purchase additional character slots for your account beginning this summer for £5.99 (€8.99). Each new slot will enable you to add a new character to your account with full access to all of the content your current characters enjoy (thanks Blues).

Microsoft Game Studios and Rare today announced the Kameo: Elements of Power Design Your Skin Contest. From April 19 to May 24, aspiring artists can visit this website to get more information and electronically submit a unique, originally designed skin of one of the elemental warriors or Kameo herself from Kameo: Elements of Power. Designers will enter for a chance to have the whole world play their designs when they are made publicly available at a later time.

Lionhead Studios has released a trailer from The Movies: Stunts & Effects, showcasing their expansion pack which will add stuntmen to the lot, a movie-making toolset, a diverse selection of dangerous stunts, astounding visual effects, impressive new sets and a number of brand-new techniques and technologies that can be used when making a movie. NAMCO BANDAI Games America announced today that The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch for the PSP will be released this summer. VU Games today announced the development of Miami Vice The Game for the PSP, a game based on the Miami Vice motion picture set to be released in cinemas on July 28. Set in present-day Miami, players will go deep undercover as narcotic officers Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs in the rich, glamorous and decadent world of Miami Vice. Developed by UK-based Rebellion, Miami Vice The Game will be available exclusively for the PSP system in July 2006.

Ubisoft sent us a batch of new screenshots from Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, showcasing the FPS for PC in the works at Arkane Studios, the team behind Arx Fatalis. The game introduces players to the world of Ashan, the new setting for all future Might & Magic games. Ashan is a dark and unforgiving world, scarred by a bloody history and threatened by an apocalyptic prophecy: the Dark Messiah. Players will have the choice to become expert warriors, mages or assassins, each with their own cache of devastating weapons and spells to use in battling huge and vicious enemies. Through combat, players will unlock new skills and equipment.

The Adventure Company today announced Safecracker, an adventure game where you play a detective, hired to crack a deceased millionaire's safe collection which includes no less than 35 units. Ubisoft and Gearbox Software today announced that new downloadable content is available for the Xbox and PC versions of Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood.
