Ubisoft today announced that the official website for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter has been updated with a wealth of new information and visuals. To celebrate the recent launch of the Xbox 360, Ubisoft released a new movie and new screenshots (added in our gallery - PC, Xbox and Xbox 360 versions), showcasing the next chapter of the series focusing on the deployment of the Soldier of the Future (the ‘warfighter,’ in military parlance) into the chaos of urban warfare. The main character is Captain Scott Mitchell, the commander of the Ghosts and Special Forces allies equipped with the IWS in the quest to save the president of the United States, recover stolen nuclear codes and eliminate a vicious band of renegade soldiers hell-bent on unleashing catastrophe. IWS (Integrated Warfighter System) is a complex combination of cutting-edge technologies that transforms an individual soldier into the ultimate fighting force. IWS combines advanced weapons systems, satellite communication devices and enhanced survivability into one fully integrated combat system. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is due to ship in February 2006, for PC, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS2.
