Board of Directors

The OCL is governed by it's By-Laws, which specify that the operations of the OCL be overseen by a Board of Directors.  The current Board of Directors, a short summary of their duties, and length of their terms are listed below.  Click on any Director's name to contact them.

Executive Director: Robert Kraemer (January 2006)

carries out the decisions of the Board of Directors, and oversees in a general way the day-to-day operations of OCL. Acts as Chair of the Board of Directors, and as a member of the Appeals Committee. Serves a term of two years.

Chief Tournament Director: Toby Landes (January 2006)

oversees the work and activities of the various tournament directors (TDs), also recruits and trains new TDs, acts as a resource to other TDs, Team Captains, and players. Chairs the Appeals Committee. Serves a term of two years.

Director of Internet Services: Keith Hayward (January 2006)

serves as a resource to the Board about the various chess servers, and provide information and links at our web site about chess servers, interfaces, etc... Works closely with the Chessville webmaster to assure that the OCL pages are up to date and accurate.  Serves a term of two years.

Director of Public Affairs: vacant (6-2-04)

recruits new teams/players, and deals with any publicity issues, requests for information, etc... Serves a term of one year.

Director of Player Services (Open Section):  Scott Forest (election of Winter 2004 Tourney)

oversees the team rosters, verifies eligibility of players, maintains the OCL mailing list at Yahoo Groups.  There shall be one Director of Player Services for each section. Serves a term of one year. The various sections shall elect their Representatives on a staggered basis, to be determined by the Board of Directors.

Director of Player Services (Under 1800 Section): Scott Pletka (election of Fall 2004 Tourney)

oversees the team rosters, verifies eligibility of players, maintains the OCL mailing list at Yahoo Groups.  There shall be one Director of Player Services for each section. Serves a term of one year. The various sections shall elect their Representatives on a staggered basis, to be determined by the Board of Directors.

Director of Player Services (Under 1500 Section): Frank Dodgen (election of Summer 2004 Tourney)

oversees the team rosters, verifies eligibility of players, maintains the OCL mailing list at Yahoo Groups.  There shall be one Director of Player Services for each section. Serves a term of one year. The various sections shall elect their Representatives on a staggered basis, to be determined by the Board of Directors.
