Ignition Entertainment today announced Mercury Meltdown for the PSP, the sequel to the Archer Maclean’s Mercury, available across Europe this September. Once again, players must avoid various obstacles and hazards by controlling the Mercury blob, which now has 4 varying ‘states’ – Normal, Solid, Fast and Slow. Atari today announced Totally Spies! 2: Undercover for the GBA and Nintendo DS, the sequel to Totally Spies for the GBA, where three girls from Beverly Hills, Clover, Alex and Sam, must save the world once again. CCP Games today announced that EVE Online enjoyed tremendous success in China on its first open beta day. Over 200,000 players registered that day with 30,000 players logging in after the servers went online. Optic Communications, the licensing partner of CCP Games in China, is operating the fully localized cluster which runs separately from the Western variant of EVE Online.

Codemasters today announced that Micro Machines v4 has now gone gold with the launch being scheduled for June 30th. Nibris today released a fact sheet with details on the storyline from Raid Over The River DS, a game developed for the Nintendo DS and set for release in the first half of 2007. The game is the first title in a series of two, but the second one will be developed for the Wii console. The story takes place throughout almost 3 000 years and spreads over 6 dimensions related to Earth. Everything starts when in Peru the archaeologists reveal an artefact of unknown origin. The knowledge it carries enables travelling in time. The Temporal Advanced Research Projects Agency comes to life and its task is to investigate different dimensions and prevent any threat that may come from there. Capcom has released new screenshots from Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, a compilation of the entire Street Fighter Alpha arcade series containin StreetFighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold and Street Fighter Alpha 3. As a bonus, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix was also added. The compilation is scheduled for release throughout US during summer 2006, for PS2.

Pro Cycling Manager 2006 has a management section where the player takes on the day-to-day role of the manager of a professional cycling team, looking after contracts, transfers, sponsors and training. During the numerous 3D real-time race sequences the player must micro-manage team tactics and control the actions of each individual rider, looking after energy levels, feeding, placing attacks at the right moment, protecting a team leader, or sprinting for the line.

The first E3 2006 trailer for The Witcher is now available for download, showcasing this upcoming action-RPG in the works at CD Projekt Red Studio. The Witcher combines the features of such games as Dungeon Siege, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Gothic and Neverwinter Nights. The game is supposed to ensure entertainment to a broad group of older players, incorporating simple yet interesting game system, along with a complex plot and attractive 3D graphics.

The Hero Online official closed beta website is now live, accepting registrations for the upcoming closed beta test which will begin on June 15, 2006 (11:00 AM U.S. Pacific Time GMT -8:00). There might be some difficulties in the registration process if you use an internet browser other than 'Internet Explorer'. THQ has released a new movie from Company of Heroes, showcasing this real-time strategy game set in World War II and developed by Relic Entertainment. The game is developed with Relic's Essence Engine and the Havok Physics engine, featuring a completely destructable environment and an advanced squad AI.

Konami today confirmed that Adriano, the renowned Brazil and Inter Milan striker, is to be the pan-European face of Pro Evolution Soccer 6. Adriano will appear on the game packaging all across Europe, with additional local players to be announced shortly. Donington's Download Festival took place this weekend and if you were there, you could have listened the 40 members from the public who had the opportunity of a lifetime, to play Guitar Hero on the same stage where Guns N' Roses and Metallica had their performances.
