Turn-Key Real-Time 3D Motion Capture Finally Arrives
PhoeniX Technologies Inc. announced today the launch of the revolutionary VZAutoCal solution. This new member of PTI’s suite of Visualeyez 3D motion capture products makes the laborious task of manually calibrating a motion capture system a chore of the past. PTI’s Visualeyez systems already offer one of the most convenient manual system calibration procedures available in the industry, taking just one minute per tracker; now VZAutoCal eliminates even this requirement. A capture subject entering the motion capture area triggers an automatic system calibration which completes within a second; not even an operator is required. In addition, VZAutoCal provides ‘adaptive functionality’. If during a capture session any tracker is moved, man-made or temperature change, the adaptive function automatically recalibrates the system. This keeps the system accurate continuously, so users can carry on with their motion capture without needing to perform any onerous manual recalibration ever again.
