Aide: Democrat chief heard of Foley e-mails in 2005

The Democrats' House campaign chief, Rep. Rahm Emanuel, heard of former Rep. Mark Foley's inappropriate e-mails to a teenage boy a year before they became public, a campaign committee aide told CNN. But Emanuel, who said earlier this year that he knew nothing of the messages before the scandal, never saw the correspondence and did not have enough information to raise concerns, the aide said.
