Station Spotlight

BEYONCE “Irreplaceable” (SUM/Columbia)
We told you this was the song with the most hit potential for Pop radio. It’s without question one of B’s best songs to date and the weekly spin increases at Pop radio have helped her land at the top of the charts again. There's a lot a good songs and many more great songs, but few hit songs. It's without question one of the biggest songs of her solo career. "Listen" from Dreamgirls sounds like it's something special.

NELLY FURTADO “Say It Right” (Geffen)
It’s hard to believe that this one time song bird has transformed into one of the hottest, hippest and sexiest artists in the format. But Nelly has followed up her mega-smash, “Promiscuous,” with another rock solid effort that has landed in the Top 5 and headed to #1!

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE
“What Goes Around...Comes Around” (Jive/Zomba)
What a year for JT and the trend is sure to continue in 2007 with what is destined to be his third #1 track from his outstanding CD, FutureSex/LoveSounds. Look for the JT buzz to only increase with his upcoming arena tour.

AKON F/SNOOP DOGG “I Wanna Love You” (SRC/Konvicted/Universal Motown)
"I Wanna Love You" goes Top 5 with over 6,700 spins and is also headed to the top of the charts. Both "Smack That" and "I Wanna Love You" ringtones have sold more than 1 million ringtones each. Akon has been the # 1 Top Artist on Myspace.com for 9 weeks! He recently received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Smack That."

Station Spotlight

GWEN STEFANI
“The Sweet Escape” (Interscope)
Gwen has "no doubt" delivered another hit to Top 40 radio. Make no mistake - the music is typical Gwen... and Gwen is good for Pop music. The album's title track also features the red-hot Akon. Gwen is one of the format's hottest artists whose hip factor remains off the charts! She's not afraid to take chances and think outside the box, which has helped her to deliver another CD full of many more potential hits.

LUMIDEE F/TONY SUNSHINE
"She's Like The Wind" (TVT)
WIOQ (Q102)/Philly PD Rick Vaughn led the way jumping on this after one listen. It's now researching Top 10 and is also seeing major airplay in Chicago at both B96, KSLZ, and WKSC. #1 phones at Z100/New York! Also breaking at KDWB/Minn and WKST/Pittsburgh. This could be you next "secret weapon."
