G-Tok (c) GuildHall

Introduction/Plot:

Defender... any one here remembers it? If (NO) goto download_mame Else you're allowed to continue reading. G-Tok... the world is in danger, you're the only one that can save it, of course, put your best dress and fly with your best looking airplane. Introduction screens, like all splash screens are just text with a blue font, mhhh, I smell bargain bin here...

Gameplay/Controls: 6.8/10

Aliens are trying to destroy part of your buildings, it's up to you to crash them all on each level to advance to next one. Gameplay is pretty hard and you will not easily reach the third level. Game is in full 3d, with camera behind your ship, there are various buttons, but you can just avoid them all but the fire one, functions like 180 degree fast turnback are just too much, altough at latter levels you will not be able to last a lot withouth it.
Graphics: 6.9/10

Again we have to look into a 3d engine, this one fits the game well, but honestly, it's not a piece of cake. Everything moves at a fast frame rate, and that's pretty important, though textures do not blend perfectly and are not top of the the notch themself.

Overall: 5.8/10

It's 'another' game hitting the bargain bin, maybe you will find it for few dollars in some months, by then it may be outdated too, still if you did like Defender like mad, having a 3D experience at it may be worth spending some bucks. There's nothing bad with it just nothing original and nothing amusing about it.
