Monopoly

Originally patented as "The Landlord's Game" in 1904, it was not until 30 years later when Charles B. Darrow of Germantown, Pennsylvania sold to a Philadelphia department store the first 5,000 handmade sets of the name that we all know as Monopoly.

Since then around 500 million players have enjoyed this classic property trading game. Most foreign editions have adopted their own language, currency and property names, for instance: Mayfair in the United Kingdom, Rue de la Paix in France, Schlossallee in Germany, Kalverstraat in The Netherlands, etc. Monopoly is available in many different editions & version from vintage / nostalgia to futuristic. Risk

Designed and first released in France, Risk was launched in 1959 as a turn-based strategy board game for two to six players where military wars, battles and world domination take place on a board depicting a stylized political map of the world which is divided into forty-two territories, grouped into six continents.

Players take turns to attack rolling up to three dice and placing an army on a territory to claim it until all territories have been claimed, Risk is a slow moving game available in different formats that might take hours and hours of fun to get it done. Find Risk boards here.

Scrabble

Invented by Alfred Butts, Scrabble is sold in 121 countries around the world in 29 different languages and different versions ranging from My First Scrabble to Junior, Travel, Deluxe, Party, Disney and Pocket Scrabble including the original Version and those playable on your pc or online. Cranium

As its slogan says "play with your brain" and enjoy testing your mental ability with the game became the most popular in America in record time, selling more copies in its first week than Trivial Pursuit.
