NEWS 1859 (3-Aug-06) Play Tournaments on the Internet Chess Club!
The Internet Chess Club holds over 500 tournaments every week!
There are 86 scheduled weekly events, as well as hundreds of impromptu
tournaments for bullet, blitz, standard, and wild variations.
The Tomato team are proud to host the 2006 UPI Computer Shop
Championship. 1,000 euros, a laptop computer, weekly internet lessons
and many years of ICC membership-extensions are available as prizes.
The tournaments play using a time control of 3 1 and occur every
Saturday. To participate, log in a few minutes before 15:00 EDT and
type "tell pear join". See help UPI2006 for full details.
The 2006 5 0 Blitz Championship starts August 12th! These exciting
tournaments are very popular as many of ICC's top Blitz players hope
to win the title currently held by last years champion, Super13(FM).
Here is the schedule of the qualifiers; each one is a 9-round event:
