Well, I must support the learning chess from online website or I would support learning chess from Chessbase. Certainly I wouldn't do the retarded "funny" chess genius one. I supposed ChessBase 9.0, or chessbooks, but maybe learning from online website. I think that it should follow
1. Online
2. ChessBase
3. Books

Well, maybe not online, it is most likely chessbase. The key to opening preperation is CHESSBASE. I do not believe in books! Though I have a lot of them, the author will miss a move, or the book may not be up to date(!) Chessbase is the most recent games, and you can quickely play through games.

to Michael,
I think that chessplayers have 120 dollars to spare from their chess winining. :) I guess you don't. Well then I guess your going to have to live without :D and thats your problem. I can't help you there.
