New PocketPC PDAs from Compaq and Toshiba are now being released with Windows Mobile 2003. This enhancement to the PocketPC operating system is an improvement over the previous version. However, some applications that were written for older versions of this OS may not run under PPC 2003.

I've looked at Pocket Fritz 2.0, Pocket Grandmaster 2.1, and Lokasoft's Pocket ChessPartner 1.0, and all these programs seem to run find under the new OS, on my Ipaq 2215. CEBoard also works fine.
