Solution: 1. c7 Rd6+ 2. Kb5 White must keep the rook from c6, and cannot go to c5 because of 1. .., Rd1 and draw. 2. ....., Rd5+ 3. Kb4 Rd4+ 4. Kb3 Rd3+ 5. Kc2! Rd4! When white plays 6. c8=Q Rc4+!! 7. Qxc4 it's stalemate! But: 6.c8=R!!! Ra4 (only move) 7. Kb3!!! White wins the rook, or mates on c1! to here. | |
