There had been those statistics in <rebjorn>'s profile but he kept them until the Shulman game started only. I don't know if anyone saved them.

Feb-20-07   Elixir of Life: <Arno Nickel>:

I don't know where this post is more appropriate, the World vs Arno Nickel game page or the Arno Nickel player page, so I'm gonna post this in both threads.

One of the closest and most hotly debated battle, on move 29/30, was concerning the R1f2 manouver vs the fxg6/Qg5 manouver. The R1f2 supporters feel that if we play otherwise, your rooks will reach the 7th rank. The fxg6/Qg5 supporters consider the threat of your rooks at 7th as a "paper tiger". Which move do you think is better?

I'd like to hear some analysis on your side.

Bye.

Arno Nickel: Hi, dear friends of chessgames.com!
I am sorry I couldn't spare time for your discussions (esp. the Shulman game) last weeks, but I haven't forgot you. Right now I'm very busy preparing the 5th Freestyle Tournament on playchess.com, March 2nd-4th. If you are interested or even want trying to win the 1st prize, which is US $8'000 in the Final (March 23rd-25th), please read my latest article on the ChessBase site: http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail...
See you later!

Arno Nickel: I am sorry, I couldn't spare any time for further analysis, but I will come back in some weeks. Also I am eager to have a rematch here vs. The World in some months or may be in early 2008. I suppose after another challenge, where you will have White vs. any strong GM. After that we could play the rematch "GMAN-TheWorld" - let's twist again... :) Best regards,
Arno

RookFile: I was just reading over page 283 again, and smiling. There was an opening decision between Nc3 and a4. Ten minutes before the close of the vote, Nc3 was ahead by 20 votes. With frantic campaigning (due to a live telecasted game that literally had just ended), a4 managed to come back and win, in that 10 minutes span, by 3 votes.
