The horizons are mysterious and deep for the future of the beloved RPG publisher/developer.

As reported by gamesindustry.biz, Square Enix is looking to grow its overseas sales to such an extent that it would become 50% of the company's total business income. Naturally, foreign acquisitions seem to be at the forefront of their strategies.

Square Enix's president Yoichi Wada is looking to expand its overseas revenue from 30% to 50%. Square Enix had been on a long hiatus in its PAL territories, and Wada plans on making hitting 50% one of the company's ultimate goals.

Additionally, starting April 1st, Square Enix will begin releasing one title per month with new titles planned for the Dragon Quest and Star Ocean franchises, in addition to the DVD/UMD movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and highly-popular sequel, Final Fantasy XII.
