Intuitive Use
Delphi tries to make most of the small screen that Palm devices have. And it tries to do it in a natural, intutive way: When you look at a chart printed on paper, you often focus your eyes onto different objects when needed. For example, you search for the symbol of the moon and then you look what sign it is in or what aspects it has. Similarly you may want to focus onto trines or want to know which signs are in the 12th house.

Delphi lets you do this almost as intuitively as you are used to: Instead of focussing with your eyes only, you use the pen to focus too. Thus you search for the symbol of the moon, tap on it and immediately only aspects to the moon are shown, immediately it is indicated how strong those aspects are and the position of the moon is shown with more precision. Similarly, you can focus on aspects, signs or houses.

Otherwise Delphi behaves like a standard Palm application: You can organize charts in categories, sort them manually or alphabetically, and, if your Palm device has infrared beaming hardware, send or receive charts to/from others. This allows you to exchange charts with others quickly and in quite a natural, non-technical way.

Finally, Delphi lets you view synastry (relationship) charts; either between two birth charts or between a birth chart and the built-in astrological clock.

Accuracy
Delphi uses the astrolib library to calculate positions of sun, moon, planets up to Pluto and the true moon node with an accuracy of the order of one arc minute. Also through astrolib, you have access to UNIX time zone data for about 350 locations world-wide, plus about 2000 additional locations of which each one has been assigned to a one of the 350 UNIX time zone locations.

I used this program on my previous Treo (Palm OS v3.5) and really loved it. Quick, easy to use, etc. But it crashes my new TREO 650. How sad!! Dear Developers, could you please make it work on TREO 650 (Palm OS v5.2). Giallo

This program is ridiculously badass. I'm no professional, but I'm no amateur either and Delphi motivates me with a cattle prod to advance my knowledge (cuz it doesn't tell me what it means). Works like a dream on my Clie TJ37. Mad, phat kudos to the development staff...

When Istarted out in astrology more than 30yrs ago I had to bring 2 briefcases for all the books needed to do charts, now I carry a "Palm" about the size of a pack of cigaretts, but much more addicting. Now I can do charts in the "Palm" of my hand thank you very much.

i've been using Delphi for years (first on a Kyocera 6035 and then a 7135), and it's absolutely first-rate. i'm more of an enthusiast astrologer, though I was raised in a family of professional astrologers. Delphi's features include almost everything I need, but I do miss other bodies like Chiron and Eros. I give it five stars, though, sadly, Delphi 2.0Ä

I've been using this program for a few years now, and it's fabulous. No longer do I have to carry round an ephemeris, tables of houses and an atlas! My only gripe is that it doesn't have Chiron or the four major asteroids.

Considering the fact that everyone else seemed to rate this program with ***** (five stars), my review may not apply to everyone who chooses to download the Delphi software. Although the program supplied much information in reference to my astrology, I have been unable to translate the information into normal language. After submitting my personal information (name, date, time, country, city, etc.), a chart with many symbols appeared. I was thinking that some type of translation would be included, however, none was.

I was looking for quite some time for an astrology calculator for the palm. years ago i wrote one in basic, for the PC, and i was almost ready to go ahead and learn palm programing to port it to the palm. don't need to do it anymore! this one is absolutely excellent! it's easy and intuitive to use, and it appears to be pretty accurate. it also has a database of international locations, even small cities in remote countries, which is unbelivable! outstanding work! i can't belive it's freeware!
