Description:
SnapCalc is a HackMaster plug-in that allows you to pop up a basic calculator from within any PalmOSŪ application, do some calculations, and, if you choose, copy the result to the underlying application.
SnapCalc also allows you to paste a value and use it in your calculations.
It runs on PalmOSŪ 2.0 and up. SnapCalc does not require MATHLIB.PRC but it does not do trig functions.
Features:
- Activate snapCalc from within any application
- Small (quarter-screen) and large window sizes:
- Quarter-screen window can be dragged around
- Window sizes can be switched without losing your place in the calculation
- Copy displayed number to the underlying application
- Paste a value from a hi-lighted selection or the clipboard and use it in the calculation
- Basic operations of +, -, x, and /
- Memory plus, memory clear, and memory recall
- Memory indicator and operator indicator
- % and sign keys
- Backspace key
- Operational precedence (configurable)
- Number is displayed with thousand separators

I couldn't believe my Tungsten E didn't come with a calculator...at all! I'm so glad I found this incredible app! It's the best simple calculator I found, free or otherwise. And the fact that I can pull it up anytime, anywhere makes it much better than the one Palm could have supplied me with anyway.

I used it on my earlier Palm m515 and Tungsten T and it was very useful, but on my new Tungsten T3 it does not work. I follow the installation information ok.

This is the hack I use the most. I love the the clipboard function. I can copy and paste the numbers straight into memos, etc. Works smoothly in my Visor Neo.

Excellent! I've had this hack with me since last year and now with this release it reconfirms this hack as a MUST-HAVE on ANY palm! Highly recommended - Used this on my IIIc, Vx, M505 and now on my M515 - never had any problems.

This is another great freeware prog; thanks Ling; now dispensed with the time delayed, un registered "pop up calc". use it all the time for my invoicing prog. One question; how do I work out and add the % value of a calculation for v.a.t. etc ?. Used on my Visor Neo.

SnapCalc does its job well. However, the hack does not have any documentation within itself that tells the user how to use it. Although that information is available in a separate text file, its absence from the hack is a major oversight.
