On TreoCentral I saw someone using Crony to schedule backups with the free VfsBackup. It's pretty clever. You can use a resource editor like BIRD (http://www.ppcompiler.org/index.php?lng=en) to find out the Menu or Button id of the function you want Crony to activate in the program it launches. Takes some time to find the right function though. The Backup button in VfsBackup has id 9994. Just make sure VfsBackup doesn't prompt for anything, which it does quite often, at least for me.

I'am able to use it under OS5. I installed Crony, and when I didn't found it as an icon in launcher I used FileZ to check it out. I saw that it was not set to launchable, so I changed it to launchable and started it from launcher. It works fine so far, I've tested it with "wake up", "sound" and "message". However you cannot access it from "Perferences", tough it displays there.

Great Program when I had it running on my m505. But however it does not support OS5.

Awesome! I was looking for something to do just what Crony does. Since I prefer Linux anyway, cron makes perfect sense, and does just what I need it to. Thank you very much!

Muito Legal, o unico porem e que nao da para deletar facilmente, mas nada que tire o merito do programa.

Works nicely ... once you figure it out. Documentation poor but program is not complicated. Upgrades are troublesome. This process works for me on IIIxe: delete all CronyTabs, turn Crony off, soft reset, turn off all hacks, THEN delete Crony, then install upgrade. Is not accessible as a Pref. Maybe a hack would be better?

Uninstalling of the faulty version 0.99.3 works without problems when you switch off crony before trying to delete it. Ver. 1.0 which should fix the bug was released today. Apart from this minor bug I just love the program. Not having to go into prefs would make it a five star candidate.

John: Which hacks are giving you trouble? I'm running X-master and a number of hacks, but have not had a problem so far on my TRGpro OS 3.5.2. I would also suggest getting yourself a copy of InWatch to monitor your install. It logged all the changes the Crony install made and I now have a way to uninstall without restoreing from backup. So far the program has worked well for me. Keep up the good work Oleg!

Seemed to work at first, but on my Visor Edge, it caused a crash when I tried to change the date or time in the General Prefs.

CAUTION! This program may interfere with HACKS. I could not delete it by normal means. I have had to delete it from the backup file on my PC and do a hard reset on my PALM. This program should be a HACK and not added to the PERFs icon. It works fine -- if you can translate the Russlish instructions and I used it for several days until I realized I couldn't operate some of my HACKS. Then I found I couldn't delete it to test my hypothesis.

The most flexible and simple to use alarm freeware program available. Scheduled alarms can be set to go off regularly for specific days of week only (eg just weekends), times of day, even only specific months of year, with a message &/or alarm. Alarms sound whether palm on or off. Click on "all" for every option (min, hour, day, wday, month) until you understand how it works. NB Crony is accessed by going to preferences screen. Just have to find some uses for it !!
