Description:
iConnect is a free and open-source micro-browser intended for browsing offline content channels.
The core iConnect component is an iConnectLib, the PalmOS system library.
The library has simple and easy-to-use API for integrating browsing functionality in any Palm application.
iConnect is not a generic HTML browser for Palm.
Our vision is HTML is not actually suitable for handhelds (especially for low resolution Palm devices).
iConnect allows you to browse WML-like sites specifically designed for limited handheld device capabilities.
Because of these design strategies, iConnect is small, powerful, and really fast, it is ideal solution for representing any hyper-text information on a Palm device.
Some of iConnect main features:
- Very compact (about 45K on device)
- Really fast even on old handhelds
- Supports colorful graphics
- Has powerful built-in scripting support through TapTarget iScript technology
- Handles multiple channels
- Can launch Palm applications and perform custom actions as channels hyperlinks.
iConnect is free and open-source software and is distributed under GNU General Public License.
