- Never jump to beginning after imported memo record(s).

Anyone can tell me why it sometimes working abnormal e.g. after removal of memory card and insert again ,it can't open and save doc , then halt the system .try many times , the worst one need to reinstall my palm. Thx!

I wanted to be able to drag and drop .txt files from any machine onto my SD + USB card, then open them on my Palm m500. CardTXT is a very straightforward and free solution. Many thanks!

I am sorry there is a big gap in time here - I almost forgot to come back here. Double glad I did. I just did a quick test on the ultrathin hardware and it appears to pass fine. Extended typing using the multifunction keys did not seem to crash a medium sized text file. One good point and one bad I will add, then. The bad is I am having difficulty with any hi-res support. But much more importantly, reversing the color scheme, as difficult as that may be, would be a key feature. I know I may be alone on this - but it would be simplified if the whole palete for the program was just black and white (like the palm reader does - switching between white on black or black on white font/background is simply essential in a text writer to reduce battery consumption). The good thing is CardTXT saves very large text files about a hundred times faster than used those bloody fscking Doc files in something like DocsToGo (which is, btw, all I can use). Kudos. £

Needs more stars there. An excellent program. I have stopped using Docs to Go and for the most part eReader. Just one fault and one "huh" Fault: It doesn't "backup" TXT files to the computer. Huh: I downloaded this program and it says it is v0.53 not v0.60 as advertised.

Fantastic TXT/PDB reader/editor. Works great on my Palm TX. This program provides a way to enjoy the free ebooks from Project Gutenberg. Being able to set bookmarks (in PDB format) is a nice feature too.

Mostly for GuDong - I am an authour and require the use of large text files. So I have to use documents over embedded Memo. I will be testing this program with a bug in the Ultrathin line keyboard (a really kewl battery-less Palm keyboard) that causes DocumentsToGo to issue a full system crash on the T3. My best analysis is that the bug (which wipes the memory out) is issued when writing to any memory card. I will try to post my findings here, as I cannot access your blog. It is not definative, but will do my best to test for stability here.

I would be nice if it would allow me to edit my MP3 playlists on card. At the moment it hides it when using the file-selector and saving a file as test.m3u results in test.m3u.pdb.

Man, this is exactly the program I've been looking for! Nothing against Palm's sync or against DocstoGo, but CardTXT makes it supremely easy to edit text files on your Palm and Clie (actual txt files, not some proprietary format that has to be converted). As far as txt files are concerned, it's like having a USB thumbdrive where you can edit the files on the go. It's a godsend. I'm gonna by a bigger Memory Stick immediately!

This is a great application, combines all the features I need that no single text editor does, all within an very small footprint (latest version is 0.32)
