In response to Dizzy's comment the author appers to hacked the original "mine hunt" which Palm provided with new palms(like the palm IIIe). this would explain the low-res graphics and the date discrepancies. I downloaded the ++ version and gave it a try. I found "scratching" irksome, but could understand its merits, so i would recommend allowing the user to choose either "scratching" or the old hardware button method. I really didn't get to explore many of its' new features because of that fatal error on the High score (i have a TE). The scoring and the timer didn't seem to add much. Overall i'd say that (sans the score error) this was good practice, but not great in itself. Personally i uncovered my original version and preferred its' general simplicity. It'll be worth another look once that error is delt with though.

It also crashes my Treo 600 on the high score screen.

Almost identical to "MineHunt". Differences I like: the timer, "scratching" to flag a square (rather than holding a button while tapping), option to turn of "?" marking. Also crashes my Zire 71 when going to the high score screen.

Plays identically to Microsoft Windows version we all know. However, only appears black and white on Tungsten E2 screen. Attempt to "View high scores" causes TE2 to crash. Contrary to date on FreewarePalm, appears to be quite old, perhaps can't handle 16-bit screens...
