This is a really fun game - but you sure ought to track down that memory leak!

Great game. It will be even more fun with IR.

Perfect! Please continue the development!

I have a new favorite game! I love the ongoing level advancement (ie, my playing today affects my playing tomorrow). Great fun and highly addicting. An update with more types of enemies would be fun, but this is still a great little time killer.

Arguably the best game ever written for the Palm! Recently started playing again as I changed to an M515. Despite a few crashes, the game is as fun as it was before!

It is totally awesome!!!!!!! I think it should be improved as much as possible in any way possible though. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to fill in time or just wants an awesome game. My favorite thing about it is you get to blow up other ships, (that is a boy thing =D) and it is just plain fun. I hope you will try it even though it may not seem very fun. (I'm not a geek ;-])

Although I haven't tried with my TungstenE yet, my old IIIe didn't back up my levels, and worse the entire game, when I had to reset it. That's not a real problem, but I have no idea why this Could have happened... GREAT GAME!

Great game, its one of those simple, yet full of tactics, and is incredibly adictive,........a lot of fun, definitly worth downloading.

Apart from the reset issue on a T3 (must go to another app before going to launcher - freezes if you try to go to the launcher straight away) this is the best game I have played on my palm in a while. IR makes it pretty much king. Note - this review is almost two and a half years after the last update - what a game.

Don't have to be a trekky to like this game, it's easily my favorite.

***** [Jun 4, 2003] by Pinky Bullwinkle
This game is sooo good, its really versitle, take on a "leader' by puttin the guys raank way up, and give yourself a buddy. or go one on one with a few sentry guns to spice it up. not to mention the limitless number of tactics you can do with choosing to not fire, even non- trekkies should go for this one.

I like it and play it a lot. The second game that caught my interest (after backgammon but i'm tired of playing that).

Wow! Great game. . . I love it! You can play the Federation vs. Dominion! And its challenging! If you appreciate ST even slightly, get the game.

I find this game very addictive and a lot of fun. A definite download for your palm. I would like to see this game developed more, even if it requires a small fee for future releases. This game has the potential to be one of the best games ever !

Certainly the best game for the Palm™ OS! Well-crafted, fun, and definitely addictive. You can customise nearly everything, and gameplay is easy to learn. I cannot discontinue singing its praises. A must-have! (A note to the author: if you do happen to read this, I have some new ship ideas: Ferengi, Cardassian, Bajoran, and Romulan. (When a Klingon wins, it displays a Romulan victory note; fixable bug!))

Super Fun game! Good for passing time plus easy to learn!

***** [Aug 31, 2001] by yaamen
It's addictive, it's strategic and it's free! Surprisingly, the AI doesn't hit everytime on it's highest level so a Cadet has a chance to take out a Fleet Admiral. I could go on for a while about this game. You are to be commended. Great job!

Awesome!

Great piece of work! Good game not only for us trekkies but everybody. I like to use a borg ship (regenerative shields) it has saved my butt a few times. Just one minor grip, there is no lieutenant commander rank. Star fleet should be alerted to this oversight. Kaplah!!

***** [Jul 20, 2001] by Ernie
Thanks. Loads of fun during down time.

Love the game, great for "starving artists" -- download it if you're into strategy...

***** [Jun 16, 2001] by Roman
This has to be one of the BEST free games for the palmOS. in colour or B&W;, it seems destined to consume many hours of my boring lectures in my quest to become a Klingon admiral... If only I could program this innovatively!

***** [Jun 8, 2001] by Ronald Hee
After 193 victories and 20 defeats, say hello to a newly minted Rear Admiral! Michael, great stuff, read my email about ver 3.0!

***** [Jun 4, 2001] by Ronald Hee
This is one addictive game. Nothing as addictive since SolarWars. Kind of the adult version of PokeMon - Palm users fighting away every chance they get. Lookin' forward to ver 3.0! Commodore Hee.

Great game. Thank you for all the hard work on this. Extra race specific traits would be nice. I look forward to your next release.

***** [May 30, 2001] by Kean-Seng Lim
Version 2.0 seems to have ironed out all the bugs listed in the previous reviews, and has added some fantastic new features. The team combat is great - try flying as a Klingon against 3 Borg cubes. A must have for all Trekkies.

**** [May 22, 2001] by Douglas
A fun, addictive game. I'm also frustrated at not being able to move up in rank when playing the simulated game against the computer. I have acquired over 13,000 points but I'm still stuck at the Cadet level when I should be at the Lieutenant level.

**** [May 22, 2001] by Lieutenant Blow
This game is really worth downloading! It has got to be one of the best games for the palm! It is really fun to play IR games against your friends! The only guff I have about this game is that it seems that your exp gain for fighting sim battles caps out at 25176, and you can't level up past that without actually fighting. I agree with the other reviewer though, because there should be reasons for being a certain ship. Maybe like Borgs have high attacks but really slow engines and shields, while Klingons are really fast. Just an idea, good game though!

**** [May 21, 2001] by Kean-Seng Lim
Agree with the previous reviewer - overall a very good game that actually manages to capture what I imagined to be the feeling of Star Trek type ship to ship combat. Potential to be a great game. Seem to be some bugs - I reached experience points for the Commander level, but rank remains at Lieutenent. Possible improvements - How about multiple opponents? and differences in ship ability - ie acceleration, turn rate.

*** [May 13, 2001] by Rich Cmiel
This has the potential of being one of the best ST battle games ever, but it still needs some work (I really like the idea of all the different ship types you can choose from -- good idea there). It needs work on these: 1) I've played enough to earn Lt. JG experience, yet I'm still a Cadet. 2) Realistically, the Simulated Game will be played more often (I know that _I_ don't have time to beam games back and forth with others), so the rank restrictions are a disappointment. 3) Regardless of rank, to be more realistic, the different ships should have different settings (i.e. the Borg ships should be WAY more powerful than the others). Add some type of damage control on top of the above suggestions, and this game would really kick butt! Overall, nice initial release.

Simple, but great fun. A quick game can be had in just a few moments, or it can drawn out into quite a little battle.
