Follow-up note: Vikao icon may mysteriously disappear from tray and I found file STPTkillremote.exe appears to be responsible. Likely to be found in Palm directory alongside stptremote.exe which launches Vikao. The way this application works & access to it can be 'killed' in an unpredictable way concerns me, but as an IT illiterate, I'll leave others to explain or reassure! hh

Small, simple and does a practical job very well although the process means the resolution can be variable. Great for collecting scattered bits of data for later review. Clipping to Palm means you can research a topic on one machine and I presume you can upload to another palm linked machine -if only I could work out the conduit - and also I'd like to store on SD card on my tungsten -if only I could figure out how -but sadly Vikao comes with minimal documentation and news items about parent company Mayetec are slightly unnerving.

Right after I posted my review asking, "Where is the exe for this program?" I found it. On my system, it's stored in C:\Program Files\palmOne\STPTRemote.exe. So, if you inadvertently quit the program (by right clicking on the system tray icon), you can reinvoke it by clicking on this exe file (or, of course, a shortcut you have created for this purpose).

I would rate this program 'excellent' because it works just as well as any of the reviewers have stated. The problem is that, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how the program executes. I can find the exe file - not a shortcut to it - anywhere. I've searched the usual suspects (the program folder & startup folder) and even did a search of the files it created during the install - all to no avail. If someone figures (or has figured this out), please post the information.

It works ok in my Winme-TungstenE-Card. Images Previews,B-W,Gray,Colors,in Palm are an advantage for big maps or graphics. Select and copy to clipboard from an image or text processor works OK.

Great except for a minor ommission. When the scroll button is pressed on the PDA, the page goes up by one line only; should go up by a page.

Very good. Find converting the bitmaps into the file format before upload to my HS Treo can take a long time. Other than that, really cool.

Almost perfect program, only lacks the ability to easily export text on palm side. You can only copy/paste to e.g. memopad.

This program is really nice, especially for text or word files. It copies word files beautifully. On pictures it has a really nice zoom feature without compromising the image quality. So far, no problems, try this program, I'll think you'll be pleased.
