Description:
A free open-source kaleidoscope program for doodling.
Features:
- Pick mirrors (how your drawing is reflected).
- Pick a pen size.
- Pick a color.
- Draw!
Should work on pretty much any Palm, B&W; or color. I've tested it on a Palm TX, Sony Clie NX70, and my old monochrome Handspring Visor Platinum - no problems so far.
Kaleida was written on a Palm TX using:
- iziBasic, an onboard BASIC compiler by Laurent Duveau
- PIAF, an onboard text editor by Philippe Guillot
- BIRD, an onboard resource editor by Philippe Guillot
Update Description:
v1.1 (Dec.10,2006):
- Added an Undo button.
- Changed the Clear button to a trashcan icon.
- Made thick lines look a bit better.
- Cleaned up the code.
- Redrew the Kaleida icon.

All kids 50+ will love it, younger may too. Excellent for your creative thinking time. Relaxing and makes you think about fractals. Must have it.

I like how the sample screen looks like kaleidoscopic members.

Wow, this is beautiful! You can almost effortlessly create such an intricate pattern, though you might never see the exact same pattern again, like snowflakes! I suggest using a screen capture program if you'd like to save the image. One suggestion is to make the curves smoother on the free-hand draw that doesn't mirror the image. Otherwise, it's brilliant!
